Jin Won Han was born in Korea. She completed her BFA and MFA in metal crafts at Seoul National University before moving to the United States to study glass at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she earned her second master’s degree. Jin has taught at the Rochester Institute of Technology and served as an adjunct research faculty member at the University of Western Ontario. She has also delivered numerous visiting lectures and demonstrations internationally. Currently, she is working at Sheridan College following a two-year residency at the University of Sydney.
Jin's work spans a variety of materials and methods, including metal craft, glass, performing arts, robotics, and computer graphics. She enjoys interdisciplinary projects and is currently focused on integrating 3D digital techniques with flameworking. |
