Trace

Glass string is a residue of glassblowing process. It is created by the action of pulling molten glass out of the furnace. I collected glass strings and attached them with map gas torch to build a nest-like structure.

I see the glass strings as a trace of body and material movement. With the strings, I tried to creat etherreal structure--like remained aura of someone left.

It was installed in an old shanty at Pilchuck Glass School. In order to merge the structure in the room, I tried to minimize the use of foreign objects. Bed, lights, and hangers on the wall were used as supports.
